I’m Luke Cuthbert.
I grew up in Boone, North Carolina, surrounded by mountains and woods. I was always outside working with my hands, and I’ve never been afraid of getting dirty or putting in a hard day’s work. At 19, while I was still in college, I started doing this kind of work and quickly realized I wanted to turn it into something of my own. Three years later, that drive has grown into Cuthbert Siteworks.
I built this company around the values I grew up with: work hard, treat people right, be honest, and take pride in what you do. My name is on every job, and I want the quality of my work to reflect that. The person who answers the phone is the person who walks your site, quotes it, and runs the machine.
From growing up in the mountains of Boone to building my business down on the Carolina coast, the outdoors has always been part of who I am. At 22, I’m proud of how far I’ve come — but this is only the beginning.

A picture and a rough scope is usually enough for a ballpark same day. If I can't help, I'll tell you who can.
I walk the site
I look at the ground and the water, then send you a written number with no surprises in it.
The work gets done
Scheduled around weather, finished clean, and walked with you before I pull out.
Questions I get asked
Are you actually local?
Yes — Wilmington-based, owned and operated by me, working Wilmington and the surrounding counties. I also sub regularly for local builders and GCs, carry my own insurance, and invoice per job or per hour.
How fast can you be on site?
Quotes inside 48 hours, and most small jobs land within a week or two — weather permitting. Emergency tree calls are different: I answer those 24/7 and head out as soon as it’s safe.
Do you supply the rock?
Yes — gravel, base rock, topsoil and fill, delivered and spread. If you'd rather supply your own material, that's fine too.
Hourly or bid?
Either. Defined scopes get a fixed number in writing; open-ended cleanup and dig work is usually cheaper by the hour.
